Our story began in 1978 when we met in Highschool. We dated and shared times watching each other play sports, going to movies, going on walks and just hanging out. We would bike to each others homes and loved to be together.

After 41 years apart, I (Marie) messaged Mark on Facebook and he answered immediately. We got to go out on a second first date. We went to the waterfront in Morrisburg and sat looking at the water. We shared stories of our lives and caught up. 6 hours of laughter and reminiscing and so much fun! We both knew we felt like we did in high school and felt like no time had passed at all. We knew on that second first date that we were meant to be together. We have loved spending more and more time together and have been inseparable ever since.

We went on a 21 day trip to England and Scotland last year during the leap year. On May 21st, 2024 I proposed to Mark at the top of the Edinburgh Castle and he said yes. I gave him a Celtic ring to wear and we celebrated with family & friends in the UK for the rest of the holiday.

Shortly after we came back from our very first Mediterranean cruise, on July 19th, 2024, Mark proposed in the dining room of our home and I said yes. Rebecca, Tara and grandson Callum were witness to this. Everyone was crying and cheering with excitement and sweet little Callum (4 at the time) asked if "Ganma" was going to have a baby. Everyone burst into laughter and it made the moment even more memorable.

We so look forward to gathering with our nearest and dearest friends On September 20th, 2025 to be married and begin our forever after.
